Good Shepherd Catholic Church is a faith-filled, dynamic Christian community committed to proclaiming the Word of God through Eucharist worship, living as Christ's models of love and peace, and serving the needs of our brothers and sisters.

Good Shepherd Parish was officially formed in July 2006 as a result of the mergers of Annunciation, Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Anthony, and St. Rose parishes.  With the generosity, assistance, and prayers from our Alumni of Annunciation, Alumni of Our Lady of Sorrows, Alumni of St. Anthony, (St. Anthony Class of 1961 web site, http://bhmich.com/stanthony61 and on the St. Anthony Classmates Message Board), and the Alumni of St. Rose, we continue to provide outstanding service to our neighboring community.

We work in concert to help build God's Kingdom here on Earth through the combined efforts of our Commissions - Christian Education, Christian Service, Worship, and Stewardship commissions; our Ministires - Eucharistsic, "Elders" (our lastest addition to ministry where we honor our elders held in high esteem), Hospitality, Lectors, Music, Young Peoples, Outreach, Food at the Door, and Nursing Home Scripture Services; our Parish Catechetical leaders; and our outstanding volunteers.

We are members of the Renaissance Vicariate - one of the largest and most diverse vicariates in the Archdiocese of Detroit and the State of Michigan. The Renaissance Vicariate is composed of over 18 Parishes in Detroit from diverse economic, cultural, and social perspectives.  We support 'The Connection', which seeks to connect Detroit young adults, ages 18-35, with opportunities to worship, share their faith with each other, provide service and outreach, socializing, catechesis, and leadership development.

We would be blessed and pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we are more than happy to help. Please sign our Guest book and check out our Forum.
