Our Parish Website is a Holy Spirit-driven Communications system designed to follow what Jesus Christ did, said and commanded us to do 2,000 years ago.
Our Website offers both gentle & stark challenges to our personal and daily commitment to the King of all kings, always striving to elevate the level of zeal and enthusiasm in our Church body. We achieve this by remaining steadfast in the perfect teachings of Jesus Christ and not what the world says we can and/or should do. "Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2)."
We invite pilgrims from all walks of life, believers and non-believers alike, to worship with us in the hope that we unite with one another and enter into a deep & personal relationship with Jesus Christ, one soul at a time.

Good Shepherd Parish was officially formed in July 2006 as a result of the mergers of Annunciation, Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Anthony, and St. Rose parishes. With the generosity, assistance and prayers from our Alumni of Annunciation, Alumni of Our Lady of Sorrows, Alumni of St Anthony / Class of 1961, St Anthony High School Classmates Message Board and the Alumni of St. Rose, we continue to provide outstanding service to our neighboring community.
We work in concert to help build God's Kingdom here on Earth through the combined efforts of our Commissions and Councils - Christian Service, Education, Evangelization, Finance, Stewardship & Worship; our Ministries - Eucharistic, "Elders" (our latest addition to Ministry, where we honor our elders who are held in high esteem), Hospitality, Lectors, Music, Young People, Outreach, Food at the Door, and Nursing Home Scripture Services; our Parish Catechetical leaders; and our outstanding volunteers.
We are members of the Renaissance Vicariate - one of the most diverse vicariates in the Archdiocese of Detroit and the State of Michigan. The Renaissance Vicariate is composed of 15 Parishes in Detroit from various economic, cultural, and social perspectives. We support The Connection, which seeks to connect Detroit young adults, ages 18-35, with opportunities to worship, share their faith with each other, provide service and outreach, socializing, catechesis, and leadership development.
We would be blessed and pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, as we are more than happy to help. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am- 4 pm.
“The task of evangelizing all people constitutes the essential mission of the Church. Evangelizing is, in fact, the grace and vocation proper to the Church, her deepest identity. She exists in order to evangelize... She begins by being evangelized herself... Having been sent and evangelized, the Church herself sends out evangelizers. She puts on their lips the saving Word, she explains to them the message of which she herself is the depositary, she gives them the mandate which she herself has received and she sends them out to preach. To preach not their own selves or their personal ideas, but a Gospel of which neither she nor they are the absolute masters and owners, to dispose of it as they wish, but a Gospel of which they are the ministers, in order to pass it on with complete fidelity."
~ Pope Paul VI, December 8, 1975
